Lahaye – Malempré case file

This building was originally built in 1932, and in compliance with the customs of the time the kitchen was built at garden level and the living rooms at road level, meaning in this case the floor above. The project consisted of moving the kitchen upstairs to be in continuity with the living area, while also creating storage volumes and a laundry on the ground floor. Exterior wood cladding extends to a wooden terrace that ends with a water feature. The curved roof concentrates light from above the flat roof and lets the maximum amount of sunlight into the home.
